Dr. Lin practiced naturopathic medicine as a primary care provider in Seattle, Washington for over ten years, with special expertise in cancer, skin, chronic degenerative diseases, allergies, musculoskeletal problems, and pain management.

Dr. Lin’s clinical way of thinking of assisting patients with minor medical issues or major illnesses is:

Above all else, Dr. Lin doesn’t treat any diseases, so it doesn’t make any difference what you have. He has utilized a blend of various modalities to help patients fundamentally to revamp the establishment of the body. When you have a decent resistant establishment, then, at that point, your body will recuperate itself. He doesn’t utilize any pharmaceutical drugs, simply utilize normal enhancements, natural substances and actual means, light, heat, electricity and electromagnetic wave… and so on

No incidental effects, no aggravation, and no misery. By utilizing these normal strategies, you can live longer than patients who have either on standard medications treatment, chemotherapy, or radiation. This will provide patients with a good quality of life.

Naturopathic Medicine is based on the notion of BALANCE, which means treating the whole individual rather than just the indications and symptoms.

Why did you choose naturopathic medicine?

I chose naturopathic medicine as my path of practice due to a compelling combination of personal experiences and professional background. Having previously worked as a registered pharmacist in both hospital and retail settings, I witnessed numerous patients struggling with the adverse effects of conventional medications. This realization led me to explore alternative ways to help patients safely, effectively, and economically.

However, the turning point came when my own son suffered from recurrent otitis media at the age of 2. Conventional treatments recommended surgery with potential long-term complications, but I sought advice from a naturopathic doctor who recommended dietary changes to eliminate possible allergens. Within a few weeks, my son’s fevers disappeared without any invasive procedure. This profound impact on my son’s health solidified my belief in naturopathic medicine’s potential to address health concerns holistically, making it my chosen path to provide patients with comprehensive and natural care.

The journey of my mother’s health is a testament to the potential of natural healing methods in the face of challenging circumstances. When diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized to the lung, conventional treatments were deemed too aggressive due to her weakened condition. As a result, I chose to pursue a natural approach, guiding my mother through holistic therapies. Against all odds, my mother’s resilience and the power of these natural interventions led to an astonishing outcome – she has been cancer-free for over 8 years now. This remarkable recovery without the use of chemotherapy or radiation is a testament to the body’s inherent ability to heal and thrive when supported with personalized, patient-centered care. My story serves as a powerful inspiration, highlighting the importance of exploring alternative paths to healing and the potential benefits of natural treatments in improving overall well-being.

As a healthcare professional, I encountered a patient with a severe case of high blood pressure at 160/140, which typically requires immediate attention. Despite the urgency, the patient sought my help for a natural solution. Using Electro-nervous system balance therapy (ENSBT), I administered a treatment that yielded remarkable results. Within just 3 minutes, the patient’s blood pressure dropped significantly to 140/96, without the use of any medications. Notably, the patient experienced increased energy levels, improved mental clarity, and the disappearance of headaches. This extraordinary outcome underscores the potential and efficacy of natural medicines in addressing health concerns, demonstrating the power of holistic therapies to promote well-being without the need for conventional pharmaceutical interventions.

In July 2020, a sudden and concerning development emerged as I awoke to find my right eye enshrouded by an alarming 80 percent coverage of floaters—an indicative marker of macular degenerative eye disease. The presence of these disconcerting black particles, drifting within my visual field, evoked a profound sense of unease and near-blindness. Contemplating the prospect of conventional medical intervention, which encompassed a substantial financial investment of $7,000 for a swift laser eye surgery procedure, I instead embarked on an intensive three-week regimen of self-administered natural treatments. The outcome of this resolute endeavor is truly remarkable—a complete restoration of clarity and vision in my right eye. This transformation, achieved without the need for traditional medical approaches, stands as a testament to the potential of holistic self-healing. In a world replete with medical options, my experience underscores the remarkable capacity of the human body to regenerate and recuperate, eliciting a profound sense of awe and gratitude.

Approximately 10 months ago, 11/2022 , a 9-year-old boy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, presenting blood glucose levels ranging between 500 and 600. Seeking medical intervention, his parents, both professionals in the medical field as an Emergency room doctor and a medical nurse, consulted an endocrinologist who recommended the continuous use of an insulin pump, necessitating hourly administrations of insulin. Despite their medical expertise, the child’s parents found themselves unable to alleviate his condition. Over the course of two months under my guidance, the child’s glucose levels normalized to a range of 90-110, rendering insulin administration unnecessary for the past 8 months. Employing exclusively natural methodologies, this transformation has astounded both the parents and the medical community, offering a remarkable testament to the potency of holistic approaches in achieving extraordinary results.

Of the six principles of naturopathic medicine, which one resonates most with you?

Of the six principles of naturopathic medicine, “Treat the Whole Person” resonates most profoundly with me. As a naturopathic doctor, I firmly believe in the importance of addressing the root causes of health issues rather than merely alleviating symptoms. By considering the interconnectedness of all organs and systems within the body, I aim to provide comprehensive and holistic care that supports the body’s innate healing abilities. Understanding that each individual is a complex and unique entity, I strive to take into account not only their physical health but also their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This principle reinforces the core philosophy of naturopathic medicine and guides my approach to patient care, ensuring that I address the whole person rather than isolated health concerns.

                                                                                                                                                                      Naturopathic Practice

Naturopathic practice includes the following diagnostic and therapeutic modalities: clinical and laboratory diagnostic testing, nutritional medicine, botanical medicine, naturopathic physical medicine (including naturopathic manipulative therapy), public health measures, hygiene, counseling, minor surgery, homeopathy, acupuncture, prescription medication, intravenous and injection therapy, and naturopathic obstetrics (natural childbirth).

What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic doctors combine the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science. Steeped in traditional healing methods, principles, and practices, naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. By using protocols that minimize the risk of harm, naturopathic doctors help facilitate the body’s inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal health. It is the naturopathic doctor’s role to identify and remove barriers to good health by helping to create a healing internal and external environment.

Naturopathic doctors work in private practices, hospitals, clinics and community health centers. NDs practice throughout the United States and Canada. Qualified naturopathic doctors undergo rigorous training before they become licensed healthcare practitioners.

NDs treat all medical conditions and can provide both individual and family health care. Among the most common ailments they treat are allergies, chronic pain, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, obesity, respiratory conditions, heart disease, fertility problems, menopause, adrenal fatigue, cancer, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. NDs can perform minor surgeries, such as removing cysts or stitching up superficial wounds. However, they do not practice major surgery. NDs are trained to utilize prescription drugs, although the emphasis of naturopathic medicine is the use of natural healing agents.

Your First Visit

A naturopathic doctor will take time with you. During your first appointment, your doctor will take your health history, find out about your diet, stress levels, use of tobacco and alcohol, and discuss why you’re there. He or she may perform an examination and order diagnostic tests. Naturopathic doctors keep themselves up-to-date on the latest scientific research and incorporate this evidence into their treatments. The naturopathic doctor will work with you to set up a customized health management strategy. If necessary, your doctor will refer you to other healthcare practitioners.

The first visit with a patient may last one to two hours and follow-up visits range from 30 to 60 minutes, although this varies depending on the ND. Naturopathic doctors need sufficient time to ask questions and understand the patient’s health goals. NDs also need time to gather information, do an appropriate examination, and teach his or her patients about managing their condition and improving their health. An ND may also use diagnostic tests to fully understand their patient’s health status. Besides taking the time to carefully and fully assess a patient’s root problem, NDs speak and understand the language of conventional medicine. They can diagnose the way MDs do—yet, they bring to the patient a whole new arsenal of treatments and insights. Instead of waiting for a disease to emerge, NDs work to head it off before it happens.
